The project titled Thematic
Network on Sustainable Policies for Promoting Water
Conservation Technologies and Practices is
sponsored by the European Commission for Concerted
Actions and Thematic Networks within The Fifth Framework
Programme focuses on Community activities in the field of
research, technological development and demonstration
(RTD) for the period 1998 to 2002. The main objective of the
proposed research project is to study the sustainability
& un-sustainability initiatives undertaken within the
water-related-policy-issues and to provide the policy and
decisions makers with suggestions for new models for
enhancing sustainable development within the context of
water quality and its availability.
